Zack and Miri Make a Porno will make you never want to have sex again. I am a true movie goer, but I've had my reservations about going to this movie. Even though, I have enjoyed watching Seth Rogen on "Knocked Up" & "Super Bad". I've also enjoyed watching Elizabeth Banks on the Spiderman Triologies and I thought she did a good job with Seth Rogen on "40 Year Old Virgin". Even in my enjoyment of watching these two stars perform. I've had my doubts about going to see this movie. From the previews it doesn't seem to be funny or sexually charged like "Porky's", so I think I will skip it.
In my defense, I have to say that I don't always go by a website's or critic's opinion. Although I have learned my lesson in a few movies that I ignored the critic's thoughts. One in particular was "Vanilla Sky". I remember when the movie first came out. I heard one of the radio DJ's state that all the doors to Tinseltown were open to air out the stink of "Vanilla Sky". After watching the movie I can understand where he is coming from. I tell you another movie that this Slate website should have warned viewers about. It was a movie that was filmed downtown in Shreveport, LA. The movie is called "The Disaster Movie" and it is suppose to be a hilarious spoof picking on action here movies to include "The Hulk", "Iron Man", "Hell Boy" and so forth. In fact, they even picked on movies such as "Sex in the City" and "The Enchanted". This movie was so bad that even my twin brother that is just as big a movie buff as myself, stated if he would have seen it at a theatre, he would have walked out. I had to agree with him.

Reporters
I've always felt that it took more to be a reporter than just being able to write. I think most news reporters, also have to lose their soul to some extent. The reason I say this, is because some reporters will go to any extreme to get their story. I also, don't like how they try to make the criminal out to be a victim. We've all seen it before in movies as well as our regular news. How a reporter will yell to the police officer and ask him was brute force really necessary to bring in the killer. They start spouting off how the criminal has rights and deserves due process. The problem I have with that, is once a person decides to take another person's life in their hands and then kills them. I feel they have lost all their rights to due process and a fair treatment. What angers me so much is the bleeding heart reporters so concerned about the health and safety of the killer, rapist, etc. but is less concerned about the victim and their rights. Why have we become a society of people, reporters, that show little to no compassion for the victims. I guess the death of a child, or the destruction of a woman's life that has been raped is less important in a reporter's eyes than making a criminal famous. I feel that a lot of criminals know that if they do something spectacularly cruel or disgusting to their victims, they will reach popularity in the eyes of reporters faster. I mean how many people know about Jeffrey Dahmer, David Berkowitz "Son of Sam", Ted Bundy, Charles Manson, Ted Kaczynski "The Unabomber", and so many more that we learned about. But how about the families that were tortured, and killed? We only hear them mentioned briefly as an afterthought while the reporter is discussing the famous killers. I just find it sad that our society is more interested in murder and mayhem, than we are in happiness, love, compassion, and devotion to others.

DIET PILLS, HA!
I don't know about the rest of you but I've been trying to lose weight the past few years. I work in an office that I sit for 8 hours and I go to school at night where I sit up to 3 hours. When I'm home I usually exhausted so again I'm sitting and don't have the strength to work out like I would like. The results is that it looks like I'm carrying a keg around with me everywhere I go. No, it's not a beer gut because I don't drink beer. Therefore, like many Americans I turned to diet pills to help me lose weight. The only weight I have lost is that my wallet has gotten thinner. That is not the results I was looking for. I think that it should be a crime for companies to advertise products offering amazing results that never happen. I have bought at least 20 different diet products in the last few years with no results. I understand when Sinbad stated that he had tried the Jenny Craig program, as a result he would hang out at McDonald's waiting for someone to dump their tray. He would then tap on the glass and ask were they going to eat those fries they were throwing away. He said that with the Jenny Craig program, the only reason you lose weight is that you are so broke that you can't afford to buy groceries. I understand completely what he is saying. These diet pill programs cost so much and they will happily charge your card every month if you don't cancel with them. I have found out the hard way that the introductory offer is just to get your credit card information for them to run every month. For example, I order some diet pills and it takes about 2 weeks to get in. Now the program is suppose to be good for a month so I only have two weeks to try the product before I get my next order. The funny thing is, that by the time I receive my order, the company is already charging my credit card for the next month's supply. That is why I restate that the only weight lose I've received is a thinner and lighter wallet. I think I will have to set up a training program with the school so I can lose this keg. I guess exercise is the only diet pill that gives accurate results.

Manners
I guess I could call this common courtesy and manners. The other night I was relaxing after class enjoying my CSI Miami. I hear this guy talking loud outside so I go and look. The guy is standing at my back door of my apartment yelling back and forth to my neighbor above me. When I open the blinds and look at him, he looks at me and says "What? I'm talking to the people on the balcony". I'm wondering if they really wanted to talk to him, why wasn't he invited into their home instead of being allowed to disturb my show. It just proves to me that the neighbors or their guest have no respect for my privacy.
This is just one of many examples that I see every day, to prove to me that people have forgotten what their parents taught them. I was always raised to say "Yes, ma'am, No ma'am, Yes sir, No sir" to show proper respect. Even to this day, I'm 41 years old and if I said "Yea" to my mother I would have to pick up my teeth off the floor. Another example, when I date I've had females get mad at me for opening the car door for them. I've heard them say things like "I'm not handicap" or "I know how to open my own door". They don't realize that this is a sign from a true gentleman showing them proper respect. My final example, is when women try to be as rude and crude as us, men. I dated a woman that thought that just because she felt comfortable around me, it was ok to belch and have flatulence around me. I know that most men think that is cute because it is something that we do. The only thing is that we do it around other men, not women. I don't want any female to feel that comfortable around me. I have more respect for myself and for the lady I date to go to another room to express those bodily functions. Anyway, as I've said before, it make me worry about the future of our country when we don't have manners and don't even pretend that it matters to us.

Upcoming Election
I don't know about everyone else, but I will be glad when the election is over. I really don't care who becomes president as long as he does a better job than George Bush. As you can tell I'm not a Bush fan in the least. I feel that he won the election by illegal means with the votes from Florida and just like his father, he enjoys sending us to war. I find it ironic that when Clinton was in office, we didn't worry about any war. I feel that our country thinks it's a Big Brother to the World. Every time another country has a disagreement then the U.S. wants to step in and assist. There are two problems with that way of thinking. One is that the other country usually doesn't want our assistance. The other is that when we try to help all we do is make it worse. I wish the U.S. would concern themselves with U.S. issues and let other countries handle their own problems. Another example that always bothers me about the U.S. is the commercials about the starving children in other countries. Trust me I'm not heartless and my heart goes out to those families. The problem I have is that the U.S. acts as though only those countries have starving children and therefore, neglect the starving children here in the U.S. Look at all the homeless children that are living on the street either alone or with their family and I haven't seen one commercial addressing their needs. Anyway, back to what I was saying about the election. It is like what I told one of my friends the other day when he asked me why is Louisiana politicians so corrupt. I told him that to be a politician in Louisiana or anywhere involves them being corrupt to a certain extent. But that is just my opinion.
